Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-31

This Privacy Policy describes how CVAF Insurance Agency (operated by Christopher Vaughn) collects, uses, and protects information you provide on this site. We respect your privacy and handle your data with the same care we apply to the financial decisions we help you make.

Information We Collect

When you submit a form on this site (including our consultation request, lead-magnet download, or contact form), we collect the information you provide: typically name, email address, phone number, and any details you share about your situation or goals.

We also collect technical information automatically when you visit, including your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and referral source. This is standard web analytics data used to understand how visitors use the site.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, send you the resources you request, follow up about a consultation, and provide ongoing communication you have opted into.

We use technical analytics data to improve the site, debug issues, measure marketing effectiveness, and understand which content is most useful.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share it with advertising networks for retargeting.

Service Providers

We use trusted third-party services to operate this site: Supabase for data storage, Resend for transactional email, HeyGen and ElevenLabs for video and audio production, and PostHog and Sentry for analytics and error monitoring. These providers process your information only as necessary to provide their services and are bound by their own privacy commitments.

SMS / Text Message Communications

If you provide your mobile number and check the dedicated SMS consent checkbox on our text-alerts opt-in form, CVAF Insurance Agency (operated by Christopher Vaughn) will send you recurring automated text messages (SMS). Message types may include quote updates, appointment reminders, policy renewal notices, and important coverage updates. Message frequency varies based on your account activity, typically 2 to 5 messages per month.

Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. CVAF Insurance Agency (operated by Christopher Vaughn) does not charge you for the messages themselves; carrier rates are governed by your wireless plan.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You can get help by replying HELP. Opt-out requests are honored immediately on receipt and your number is removed from active messaging within 24 hours.

Mobile information (your mobile number and the consent record itself) is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. The only parties that receive your mobile information are (a) the SMS gateway we use to deliver messages (Twilio Inc.) and (b) our own staff and authorized service providers acting on our behalf. Mobile data is not shared with data brokers, advertising networks, or any party outside of message delivery.

SMS opt-in is captured separately from email opt-in. Granting one does not grant the other; revoking one does not revoke the other. Each consent record is stored with the verbatim language you saw at the time of opt-in, your IP address, and a server-side timestamp for audit purposes.

Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service from CVAF Insurance Agency (operated by Christopher Vaughn).

Cookies and Tracking

This site uses cookies and similar technologies for essential functions (session management, form security) and for analytics (PostHog). You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some site functions may not work correctly.

Your Rights

You have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you, to request deletion of that information, and to opt out of certain uses. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.

California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) including the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have collected information from someone under 18, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
